Et les cours commencent!

The dreaded placement tests were today, but I am happy to report that everyone did well and really showed their stuff!  There was a written portion testing the students on their knowledge of masculine versus feminine singular versus plural and even the past tense.  And then an oral interview where students had to understand what they were being asked and respond appropriately.  Quelle horreur!

After lunch, the group got their first, but certainly not their last, taste of shopping in France.  It's les soldes now, one of the two five-week periods throughout the year that French shops have sales.  Yes, that's right--there are only two sales per year in France.  Quelle horreur!  I saw quite a few our young ladies toting bags when they got to the rendez-vous point....

Later in the evening was some beach volley ball.  Fun was had by all!  Tomorrow we head back to the beach and have our first electives!  Bonne nuit!
