Quelle belle journée à la plage!

It was a truly glorious Sunday in Nice.  Hardly a cloud was in the sky the entire afternoon that we spent on the rocky beach.  The pebbles are beautiful to look at but not so sweet on the feet!  The water, however, was crystal clear and the most beautiful blue I have ever seen,  It was really the ideal temperature in which to dip one's toes!  

Ice cream was once again enjoyed as was a pizza picnic in the park before a rousing game of pétanque.  The objective of pétanque is to throw one's metal ball as close to a marker ball as possible to earn points, as Holden and Halle are expertly demonstrating.   The competition was fierce!
