Les Electives
What follows is something I overhead while walking with our students tonight. Truly.
Student A: What did you guys do in Conversation Club?
Student B: Umm, we just talked.
I'm sorry, but how precious is that?!
After some time in class this morning, the students were taken to a local confisserie to learn about certain candies made in Nice and in France in general. It was a great opportunity to improve their listening comprehension while also being able to ask questions some traditional aspects of French food life.
In the first photography club meeting, the students were given the task of bringing out color in their photographs. Here are some examples from Sarah and Sophie.
After some beach time and dinner, we did a night run. Nice is truly lovely at night. The air is cool and clear and the breeze takes away all the heat from the day. For those of us who didn't run, we strolled along La Promenade des Anglais where they were street artists and musicians trying their best to get some tourists' euros. La Promande stretches along the sea coast and is lined with Nice's famous palmiers. Quel beau groupe!
Tomorrow we go to Villefranche-sur-mer in the afternoon for some snorkling. It should be amazing!
