Monaco / Menton

Ok, this blog is a little bi-polar, so hold on to your hats!

One group of students spent the day in Monaco because they are leaving before the planned excursion on the 25th.  Normally this day trip is during first weekend, but because the Palais Princier is closed from the 9-12, we moved it back. However, we still wanted all the kids to have a chance to visit Monaco, as you can see from the pictures, the girls still had a lot to see and had a great time!

They were able to see the Musée Océanographique and the thousands of species of fish there.

Rest assured parents, one must be 18 to enter the casino!

Meanwhile, the rest of the students spent the afternoon in Menton.  We visited the Musée Jean Cocteau, a celebrated author, direction and artist.

We stopped for some refreshment in a beautiful sea-side cafe.

Some of us then enjoyed some time at the beach and others of us did some shopping (and apparently some kind of pain au chocolat eating contest...) before heading off to diner at a restaurant called Sini. Look at these beautiful Mentonaise pizzas and these beautiful, happy faces!

Tomorrow we spend the entire day in Antibes drinking in the sunshine, the art at the Picasso Museum and hopefully not any saltwater while kayaking.  J'adore la France!
